Enrico T. Lopez, P.E., is a Professional Electrical Engineering Director and Data Center Subject Matter Expert with over forty years of extensive experience in mission-critical facility design, engineering, and operations. His background covers electrical system design, construction supervision, commissioning engineering, and project management for high-availability data centers and power infrastructure projects across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Mr. E.T. Lopez holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Mapúa Institute of Technology and is a Registered Professional Electrical Engineer in California. His technical training includes global certifications, power systems engineering coursework, arc-flash studies, PLC programming, and extensive CAD and SKM PTW experience. Beyond his technical achievements, he participates in professional and civic initiatives, including involvement with the International Electronics and Electrical Engineering Association and mentoring within the engineering community. His leadership, discipline, and commitment to excellence have contributed to the successful delivery of major engineering projects globally.
Throughout his career, Mr. E.T. Lopez has overseen complex engineering initiatives, from conceptual design to final commissioning. His expertise includes preparing single-line diagrams, power and grounding systems, lighting and controls layouts, telecommunications infrastructure, and performing factory witness testing, bid evaluations, and vendor submittal reviews. He has also led feasibility studies, due diligence assessments, RFP development, and major project oversight to ensure reliability and redundancy for 24/7 mission-critical operations.
His recent consulting work includes serving as QA/QC Manager for Delta Electronics Americas, where he developed environmental and safety standards, commissioning playbooks, and technical procedures for UPS, Li-Ion battery systems, and STS/PDU equipment. He also advises Capstone Green Energy as an Electrical Engineer and Data Center SME, providing expertise on UPS deployment, battery autonomy requirements, and design alignment with mission-critical operational models. Prior to these roles, he spent over twenty years at Equinix Inc. as Director – Electrical Engineering and Sr. Reliability Engineer, leading root-cause analyses, commissioning, electrical upgrades, and major data center buildouts worldwide.
